Can I stay? A couple may apply as long as the leaseholder meets our qualifications which are available under the Apartment Options section of this website. If the leaseholder dies, his/her spouse/partner may stay at Heron Manor even if he/she does not meet our qualifications, though he/she must be at least 55 years of age. What happens if my health declines? If your health declines, Porter Hills or your chosen home health provider will reevaluate your care plan. Porter Hills or your health provider will recommend that you stay at Heron Manor only if they feel that their range of services is able to appropriately and safety match your individual needs. The door at our front entryway is staffed and locked for your safety. We also have cameras monitoring the community areas and exterior. You are free to come and go as you please. Are the apartments furnished? You are free to furnish and decorate your apartment however you choose. Do you cater to specific diets? A dietitian approves our home-cooked meals and advises staff on your special dietary needs and preferences. Are there designated smoking areas? While the building itself is smoke free, we have designated smoking areas outside. Are pets allowed? Heron Manor permits service animals based on a doctor's recommendation. |
